Stefan Musta makes Whitecaps London proud as a former club player now with the Western Mustangs in his home city. His journey from our London program to university soccer brought a new moment to celebrate when he scored for Western in October 2026.
Stefan joined Whitecaps London in 2016 and later played in its OPDL group and men's reserve team. These were different stages of competition within the club. He also attended a Vancouver Whitecaps youth combine and was selected for a Game of Distinction. We are proud of his club journey from the youth group toward the reserve side.
The club's 2023 announcement also discussed a proposed move to ASD Pomezia Calcio in Italy. Registration documents and the international transfer were still in process when the announcement appeared, so that proposal is not counted here as a completed professional playing step. It does show that an opportunity beyond London entered Stefan's story before his university chapter in the city.
Stefan's playing record continues at Western University. Western's roster lists him in 2024-25 as a first-year defender, in 2025-26 as a second-year defender and in 2026-27 as a third-year forward. The current entry gives his program as King's University College and his hometown as London. His listed roles changed across those three seasons, while his place on the Mustangs roster continued.
Two matches add detail to that university chapter. In August 2026, Stefan assisted Gavin Goddard's 75th-minute goal against Waterloo. The match had been scoreless at half-time, and that late goal secured Western's 1-0 season-opening win. Western also kept a clean sheet, which made that assist part of the decisive attacking play. In the October 10 match against Laurier, Western's official box score records Stefan's goal at 75:09, assisted by Goddard, in a 3-1 win. That goal was listed as Stefan's first of the season. For the London club where he once played, it is a recent Mustangs moment worth cheering.
For a London family, Stefan's path stays close to home while reaching beyond it. Whitecaps London named his youth and reserve-team steps; Western now records him on a university roster and in match play. A child in our program can see that the player who joined in 2016 later scored for his city's university team. We are proud of that journey and of Stefan's October goal. We hope it helps today's players dream about the next chance and keep working for it. We will keep cheering Stefan on.
