Raquelle Mitchell makes Whitecaps London proud as a London, Ontario, player who has represented Grenada and joined Oklahoma State's women's soccer team. Her path from our club's OPDL level to two American universities and a senior international goal is real, specific, and still unfolding.
A London start
An Ontario Soccer player list for the 2006 girls' group names Raquelle with Whitecaps London. Oklahoma State's announcement of her transfer also records her Whitecaps OPDL background. Those records give us a clear starting point without pretending to know every training session or every step between teams. She was one of the young players in this club's pathway. Years later, official college and Concacaf records tell us where that pathway has taken her.
The Oklahoma State announcement says she took part in Whitecaps Vancouver combines in 2020 and 2022. It also records her selection to the TOPP Ontario Elite Showcase All-Star Team in November 2022. These are milestones in her youth record, not promises that any single event secured a university place. For a London player and for Whitecaps London, they are part of a story we can trace in public records.
Two college chapters
Raquelle began her college career at Southern Miss. Oklahoma State records 27 games, 25 starts, six goals and four assists across her first two collegiate seasons there. Southern Miss's 2024 statistics show four goals and three assists that year. These numbers describe work on the field rather than a label placed on a young player before she had played a college match.
Oklahoma State announced her transfer in November 2025 for its 2026 season. Its 2026 roster lists the London forward as a junior. The transfer means her college journey includes a second NCAA Division I program, with a different squad and another chance to compete. We will not turn a roster entry into a prediction about future minutes or honours. The achievement already in the record is that she reached this level and continued into another college chapter.
A goal for Grenada
On 14 April 2026, Grenada faced the Cayman Islands in Concacaf W Qualifiers. Grenada trailed before Raquelle headed in the equalizer just before half-time. Grenada went on to win 3-1. Concacaf called it Grenada's first victory in the history of those qualifiers, and Raquelle's first goal in the competition. That is a moment Whitecaps London can celebrate without adding a story we cannot verify about what she felt or said.
There is a grounded message here for children in London. A player who once appeared on a Whitecaps London youth list later appeared on a senior international scoresheet. The steps were not identical to anyone else's, and the record does not say they were easy. Our OPDL program is one place for young players to build their own football foundation. We are proud of Raquelle's journey and hope kids like ours will dream, work, and form habits that serve their own goals, wherever those goals lead.
